Police: Security guard's vest saves him from shooting injury

GLENDALE, Ariz. - According to police, just after 2:00 a.m. on Friday, they were called to the scene. According to Sgt. Scott Waite, the incident occurred when the guard contacted a man who was acting suspiciously in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

Officers established a perimeter in the area in an attempt to find the suspect, but he is still outstanding.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 years old, 5'9'' tall, 200 pounds, with a mustache, wearing black clothing and a red doo-rag," added Dziawura.
