Candace Nelson, the founder and former owner of Sprinkles Cupcakes, confirmed Wednesday that the company is closing all its locations across the country.

Nelson shared the news of the closing in an Instagram post

Nelson started the company in 2005, and it quickly grew a dedicated fan base with its unique flavors, on-demand "Cupcake ATMs," and offering online ordering.   She sold the company in 2012.
