Surprise Police: Man arrested after dash cam shows shooting at drive-thru

SURPRISE, Ariz. (FOX 10) - Surprise Police say a man has been arrested for shooting at a driver in a drive-thru.

Baltazar Aguirre, 27, was arrested after a Surprise resident said he was shot at in the drive-thru of Bubba's Market.

Police say the driver was confronted by two males, and Aguirre started cursing and yelling at the victim to leave "town."

As seen in the dash cam footage, the driver reversed his vehicle out of the drive-through. As he backed out, the suspect was seen pulling out a handgun and raising it toward the vehicle as he continued to curse.

Surprise public information officer, Timothy Klarkowski, says the suspect fired three shots at the car, striking the vehicle multiple times. The victim was able to escape unharmed.

Along with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, investigators were able to identify Aguirre and bring him into custody.

Aguirre has been booked into Maricopa County Fourth Avenue Jail for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as numerous probation violations.
