Waiter accused of altering credit card receipts to hike tips
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. - A waiter at a Casa Grande restaurant faces fraud and forgery charges accusing him of changing credit card receipts to increase the amounts of tips provided by customers.
The Casa Grande Dispatch reports that police arrested 33-year-old Dean Alan Brown at his home Monday after being alerted by the management of Eva's Fine Mexican Food.
According to court records, Brown allegedly received at least $220 through alteration of receipts from May 15 to June 23.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Brown who could comment on the allegations.
