FOLSOM, Calif. - A spectator at the Folsom Pro Rodeo recorded a dramatic moment when a skydiver crashed while making his descent into the packed event in Folsom, California, last week.

Krista Nicole Hefner, who filmed the incident on July 2, said that she was sitting in the stands with friends as the skydiver entered the arena carrying a large American flag.

"As he came down, I felt an incredible sense of pride for my nation. But when he crashed, I felt frightened and sad," Hefner told video licensing company Storyful. "I was concerned for him because he had landed just a few feet away from me,"

The video captures the flag appearing to catch on a nearby tree during the descent, sending the skydiver into a tent situated close to spectators.

According to media reports, a spokesperson for the rodeo said the skydiver suffered only a minor cut to his lip, was otherwise in good condition, and was expected to skydive again.
