Lori Vallow, the so-called "Doomsday Mom," was deemed competent to stand trial in Arizona during a Rule 11 hearing in Phoenix on Dec. 5. Vallow is accused of conspiring in the fatal shooting of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and plotting the attempted murder of her niece's ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux.

La Paz authorities say Chris Sins was found dead

La Paz County officials says a man found dead in the desert is 34-year-old Chris Sins. He moved to the area recently to care for his father, but went missing in July. Deputies say he was found dead under a tree in a remote area. Officials say Sins was giving a man a ride, but they somehow got stranded in a different car, then went their separate ways in the desert.

Father of missing woman found dead

The father of missing Hannah Kobayashi was found dead in Los Angeles. Ryan Kobayashi, who had traveled to LA to help in the search for his daughter, was found dead in a parking lot near Los Angeles International Airport, authorities said. Hannah Kobayashi was reported missing by her family after she missed a connecting flight from Maui to New York City at LAX days earlier.

Lori Vallow: 'Doomsday Mom' speaks in court

After refusing to show up in court nearly a week ago, Lori Vallow has made a court appearance on Nov. 20 for a hearing related to a competency evaluation process that her former lawyers requested. During the appearance, Vallow outlined her mental health history to the judge, and FOX 10 Investigator Justin Lum has more on what happened.
