A new round of Honor Flight is taking veterans of various wars who live in the Phoenix area to Washington D.C., in order to give them a chance to see the monuments that were erected in their honor. FOX 10's Christina Carilla tagged along for the flight, and has more.

Veterans from the Valley arrived in Washington D.C. on Wednesday. They're in our nation's capitol ahead of Memorial Day Weekend as part of an Honor Flight. These war heroes departed from Phoenix Sky Harbor surrounded by cheering crowds. Their trip to D.C. is a chance to honor the lives lost in battles and to see the memorials that represent what they fought for. These are veterans from World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Some of them fought in all three.
