Sen. Sinema talks about looming shutdown

Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema (Ind.) addressed concerns over the looming government shutdown, during an event in Phoenix on Sept. 25. During the event, she met with veteran small business owners about the issues they face. In addition, the Senator was also asked about her re-election plans, as her seat is up for election once again in 2024. FOX 10's Marissa Sarbak reports.

Shipping container border wall cases dismissed

The Justice Department announced the dismissal of two cases against the state of Arizona that involved the use of shipping containers at the southern border. One case was a declaratory action by former governor Doug Ducey, claiming the state was legally allowed to install the containers at the border.

Grand Canyon to stay open if government shuts down

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs says the state is prepared to keep the Grand Canyon open as a federal government shutdown looms. Funding from the Arizona Lottery would make it possible to keep the Grand Canyon open. Hobbs says keeping the Grand Canyon open will guarantee Arizonans working in the park, and the thousands who depend on the tourist activity it generates are not affected by political gridlock.
