Arizona Game and Fish looking for homes for hundreds of tortoises

About 200 captive desert tortoises are in need of homes. Arizona Game and Fish Department has various shapes and sizes up for adoption. It's a big commitment because they live to be 80 to 100 years old. FOX 10 Photojournalist Brian Kae has more on what you need to know about these possible pets.

Tako, a Giant Pacific octopus at OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale is entering the final phase of her life. The process is known as "senescence." She's begun laying thousands of eggs and is in the process of dying. This is completely natural. For now, OdySea has opted to keep Tako on exhibit, in a familiar and safe environment. It's also an opportunity to educate guests about this natural process.

Grand Canyon won't seek volunteers to kill bison this fall

The park used skilled volunteers selected through a highly competitive lottery last year to kill bison, part of a toolset to downsize the herd that's been trampling meadows and archaeological sites on the Grand Canyon's North Rim.
