The family of the sole survivor in the basket of the hot air balloon that crashed in Eloy is sharing more of her story. Valerie Stutterheim's family says the 23-year-old suffered broken bones and a traumatic brain injury in the crash, according to a GoFuneMe campaign. Valerie has reportedly had several surgeries since the Jan. 14 crash, and the full extent of her injuries is not clear.

Jacob Pennington, 20, and 18-year-old Garrett Bagshaw were arraigned Friday morning. Both men pleaded not guilty in connection to the assault of a 16-year-old last November. Court documents say Pennington and Bagshaw confessed to the assault, but Pennington told investigators he was defending a female friend who he claims was hit by the victim.

According to the sheriff's office, Hannah Luna emailed the sheriff last week despite an order of protection that was served to her last summer. They say a few days later, Luna sent him another email with a threatening photo of his daughter, whose a minor. Sheriff Lamb's wife also reported seeing a post by Luna on social media saying the sheriff's child was "for sale" online.
