Avondale high school student identified as shooting victim
Rhiana Kemplin, a 17-year-old student at Agua Fria High School, was killed in a shooting near Rancho Santa Fe Boulevard and McDowell Road. No suspects are in custody in connection with the shooting, police said.

The ongoing U.S. government shutdown continues to hit air travel hard. At Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport alone, there are 400 delays and 85 cancellations scheduled for Nov. 10. Nationwide, over 7,000 flight delays and around 2,000 cancellations were reported on Nov. 9.
