Phoenix reaches 100 degrees for record 100th straight day

The temperature in Phoenix reached 100°F for a record 100th straight day. The previous record was 76 straight days, set in 1993.

Officials with the National Weather Service say Phoenix has broken the record of the hottest meteorological summer since records began. A meteorological summer runs from June through August.
