More than 100 inches of snow has already fallen in Anchorage, Alaska this year. It's the earliest the city has ever reached that milestone. Over the weekend, a storm brought 16 inches to the city, pushing them over the century mark. This is only the second time in history Anchorage has had back-to-back years of 100 inches of snow.

Maine father, Kevin Howell, tragically drowned after rescuing his 4-year-old son from icy waters. The pair fell through the ice while walking on Etna Pond. Howell managed to get his son onto a sheet of ice before succumbing to the cold.
