Arizona Snowbowl to stay open through Memorial Day
Normally, early May is about the time of year that Arizona Snowbowl closes their lifts for the season, but with a surplus of snow in 2023, conditions are simply too good for the closure to happen, and for the first time in over eight decades, Snowbowl will be open through Memorial Day weekend. The ban applies mostly to the desert parks and preserve areas. Open wood and charcoal fires are prohibited. Propane or gas grills can be used in picnic areas. Smoking outside enclosed vehicles, and using fireworks in these areas are already prohibited year-round.
