What they're saying:

Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash.

According to a witness who lives in the area, one car was going at least 80 miles per hour prior to the crash.

"Within seconds, within seconds, I heard the ‘vroom, vroom,’ and then within three more seconds it was over, it was over for everybody," said a witness named Meshach Fletcher, who was walking to a convenience store near his Mesa home. "I heard an engine revving up like the NASCAR ‘vroom, vroom,’ and so I turned around, and I saw a white truck kind of like really speeding, at least doing 80 or 90."

He says to always tell loved ones you love them, because you never know what day will be your last.

"This is going to be on my mind for the rest of my life," Fletcher said. "You know what I’m saying?"
