Ranch dressing fever is sweeping through the World Cup. Soccer fans from around the world are discovering the popular condiment and how it goes well with just about everything.

Now, those fans want to bring some home with them and are running into an unexpected problem: airport security. The issue is so bad that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) sounded the alarm about trying to pack bottles into their carry-on luggage.

"If you’re visiting for a very large sporting event & you happen to discover RANCH while you’re here ... please pack it in your CHECKED BAG on the way home," the TSA wrote in a post.

However, as ranch lovers already know, always having the dressing around is a must. That’s why one brand is jumping on the bandwagon to make sure new-found fans do not have to risk losing their all-American dressing by putting it in their checked luggage. Plus, what if the airline serves fries or a salad and all that dressing is tucked away in stowage?

Noting how its regular 16-ounce bottles are too big for carry-on luggage, Kraft introduced "TSA-compliant Ranch." The new product includes packs of ranch that meet the agency’s 3.4-ounce liquid cap. The company notes that the packs come in a clear quart-size bag to help TSA agents see what’s inside.

The backstory:

Ranch dressing is certainly having a moment, particularly on social media. In a post, one European wrote, "Why did no one tell me ranch sauce is like crack? EUROPE WE NEED RANCH ASAP."

Americans who saw the posts quickly sympathized with their overseas brethren, asking, "Ranch in Europe is rare?! Poor Europeans."

The ranch craze is just one example of how international visitors have embraced American culture during the World Cup.

Earlier this week, Norwegian soccer fans went viral for performing synchronized "Viking rows" on Boston escalators.

Also in Boston, Scottish World Cup supporters impressed locals after reportedly drinking several bars dry.
