3 found dead on houseboat on Saguaro Lake; carbon monoxide poisoning the believed cause

Three people are dead after an incident on a houseboat on Saguaro Lake.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, a man and two women were found dead around 3 p.m. on Jan. 18.

Victims identified

What we know:

The victims have been identified as 57-year-old Julieanne Afman, 41-year-old Jason Elderkin and 35-year-old Amanda Elderkin.

MCSO says Afman is the mother of Amanda, who is married to Jason.

Investigation underway

What they're saying:

Investigators say a generator was found running inside the boat, and they believe the cause of death was from carbon monoxide poisoning.

No signs of suspicious activity were found.

Detectives are still investigating the case.
