Over 11,000 ice crushers recalled due to potential fire hazard

A recall has been issued for 11,650 ice makers because they may pose a fire risk. 

Saven Technology Ltd. recalled products after the company received reports of "thermal events," including one fire, according to a Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice published on Dec. 11.

Vevor Ice Crushers were recalled, and the items were sold online at Vevor.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com, HomeDepot.com and Lowes.com from July 2021 through July 2025 for between $40 and $86, the Consumer Product Safety Commission noted.

Can I get a refund for the recalled ice makers?

What you can do:

Owners of the affected ice makers are encouraged to stop using them immediately and should call Sanven Technology to receive a full refund. 

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should email a picture of the ice crusher with the unplugged power cord cut in half to recalling@vevor.com.
