A recall was issued for 9,150 LED lights sold on Amazon because they may cause a severe injury risk.

According to a Jan. 29 recall notice, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said the LED lights violate the mandatory standard for consumer products with a button cell or coin batteries since the devices contain lithium coin batteries that could pose an ingestion hazard for children.

To date, no injuries have been reported related to the LED lights. The agency added that when a button cell and coin batteries are swallowed, it might result in "serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death."

Which LED lights were recalled?

Why you should care:

LuxJet Submersible LED Lights are involved in the recall, and the products were sold in sets of 10 LED color changing lights, two remote controls, 20 preinstalled CR2450 lithium batteries in the lights and four preinstalled CR2032 lithium batteries in the remote controls.

Consumer Product Safety Commission officials say the lights were sold on Amazon from January 2022 through November 2025 for $23.

Can I get a refund for the LED lights?

What you can do:

Consumers with LED lights are urged to stop using them immediately and call LuxJet for instructions on how to destroy the product and receive a refund. Furthermore, you should send a picture of the destroyed product to LuxJet via email at info@luxjet.com.cn.
