EEMB USA is recalling a brand of its lithium batteries over a swallowing risk.

The batteries are in pouches that are not child-resistant under federal safety regulations. Consumer Product Safety Commission officials in a recall letter said that if a child swallows button cell or coin batteries, the ingested batteries may cause severe injuries like "internal chemical burns and death."

CPSC officials said they have not received reports of injuries related to the batteries.

What lithium batteries were recalled?

Why you should care:

Approximately 312,100 EEMB Lithium Battery Packs in individual pouches, models were recalled by the company, and the lithium batteries come in multiple size packs. "EEMB" and the battery type is printed on the face of the coin battery.

Consumer Product Safety Commission officials said the batteries were sold on Amazon between August 2023 and April 2026 in the price range of $3 and $9.

Are refunds available for the batteries?

What you can do:

Consumers can contact EEMB USA to receive a full refund for the lithium batteries, and are urged to stop using them immediately, while placing the products in a space where children cannot access them.
