What we don't know:

Police have not identified potential suspects or a motive in the couple’s death.

According to The Dispatch, Spencer Tepe was a dentist at the Athens Dental Depot. His coworker told police it wasn’t like Spencer to not show up to work without calling.

What they're saying:

"He is always on time and he would contact us if there was any issue whatsoever," the coworker told police. "I just don’t know how else to say this. We’re very very concerned. It’s very out of character."

Logs show police first arrived at the home around 9:20 a.m., but left after no one answered the door. About 40 minutes later, another friend called to say he was at the Tepes’ home and could hear children inside. At 10:05 a.m., another friend called police and said he could see Spencer’s body inside next to the bed.
