Phoenix firefighters had to extricate person from car following crash

PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Phoenix Fire officials say a person had to be extricated from a car, following a crash Monday night.

The incident, according to Phoenix Fire Captain Kenny Overton, happened in the area of 43rd Avenue and Sheridan. Initial reports indicate the crash involved two cars, and a 43-year-old was extricated from one of the vehicles. In all, three people, ranging in age from 27 to 43, were taken to local trauma facilities.

Cpt. Overton said the cause of the crash will be investigated by Phoenix Police.
