A Tempe man is in custody on Sunday after his two roommates suffered stab wounds during an argument overnight.
Tempe Police say three roommates were arguing at their home near Broadway and Mill on Saturday night. Officers on-scene say they were drinking and the argument escalated until a knife was pulled out.
Police say the suspect, 22-year-old Nathaniel Anders, stabbed a male and a female who both lived in the home with him. Both the man and woman suffered stab wounds from the knife, but they are expected to survive. Anders was arrested in connection with the incident and booked into the Tempe Jail. While he is not related to the two victims, since they are roommates Anders is facing charges of aggravated assault in a domestic violence case.
