Controversy is escalating over an incident involving former President Donald Trump's campaign team during an event at Arlington National Cemetery. The incident happened during a wreath-laying ceremony on Monday. An Army spokesman says an employee tried to stop campaign staffers from filming in an area where photography is prohibited when she was "abruptly pushed aside." The employee filed a police report but did not press charges. The Trump campaign says they had permission to film. When asked, Trump's running-mate, JD Vance attempted to turn the issue on Vice President Kamala Harris.

Former President Donald Trump joined Gold Star families and soldiers to lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday. A suicide bombing killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 100 Afghans at an airport in Afghanistan in 2021.Trump travels to speak in Detroit, and he's expected to focus on the U.S. military's withdrawal from the Afghanistan war and Vice President Kamala Harris' role in it.

The Arizona State Capitol held a Navajo Code Talkers Day celebration on Aug. 14. Navajo Code Talkers are Navajo natives who used their native language to send secret messages during World War II. FOX 10's Desiree Fluellen reports.

FOX 10 salutes Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Genesis Lozada, who was recognized as the 2024 Sailor of the Quarter. Lozada was raised in the Phoenix area, graduating from Raymond S. Kellis High School in 2019, and joined the Navy after graduation. She is currently assigned to general surgery, where she provides quality patient care by managing referrals and scheduling patients. When you enter the military, you get a government-issued uniform. They give you all the basics and necessities, but when it comes to running shoes for physical training, you're on your own. A Phoenix veteran is on a mission to educate and help soldiers understand the importance of proper footwear. It's why he created a nonprofit Shoes for Soldiers.
