The law is named for Laken Riley, a 22-year-old Georgia nursing student who went out for a run and was killed by a Venezuelan national in the U.S. illegally.

President Donald Trump's administration has released an update on the mysterious drones spotted flying over New Jersey beginning last fall. "After research and study, the drones that were flying over New Jersey in large numbers were authorized to be flown by the FAA for research and various other reasons," the president said.

President Donald Trump is pausing federal loans and grants as his administration reviews spending. Even grants that have been awarded but not spent are supposed to be halted. It’s unclear how sweeping the pause will be. The pause takes effect at 5 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday.

More than 7,000 migrants deported: Homeland Security

President Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration continues. The Department of Homeland Security says more than 7,000 undocumented migrants have been deported. ICE is posting daily updates on social media, saying on Sunday they made nearly 950 arrests and nearly 1,200 on Monday, including a man in Phoenix wanted for murder in Mexico.
