A flight attendants union representing 26,000 flight attendants at American Airlines made a major vote on Aug. 30, authorizing a future vote on whether or not they will strike. Flight attendants say they don't have enough staffing or enough time to rest between shifts. They say they need more resources to do their jobs as both public safety workers and customer service reps. It's unclear if a potential date for a strike has been set.
