Tornadoes in Arkansas, Midwest kill at least 21 people

A monster storm system has torn through the South and Midwest spawning tornadoes that shredded homes and shopping centers, overturned vehicles and uprooted as people raced for shelter.

After a tornado struck parts of Mississippi, killing 21 people and destroying an entire community, President Joe Biden is visiting areas ravaged by the storm in the state. Reporter Mark Meredith has more.

Last week's tornado destroyed roughly 300 homes and businesses in Rolling Fork and the nearby town of Silver City. The death toll in Mississippi stood at 21. One person died in Alabama, as well.

Two men were rescued from a wash near El Mirage Road and Southern after they reportedly got stuck while trying to cross. A helicopter was used to airlift them out on March 30.
