CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46 WJZY) - Crews are working diligently to restore power as more than 80,000 customers statewide are without life-saving electricity after Florence made its assault on North Carolina, NC Emergency Management said.
As of 6:30 a.m. Friday, the power outage total was 83,313, with the highest concentration in New Hanover, Brunswick, Carteret, Cumberland and Onslow counties.
The FOX 46 viewing area saw recording-breaking rainfall in areas like Chesterfield County that reported 17.5" Massive flooding and power outages have been reported throughout the state.
