GLENDALE, Ariz. - A young teenager is fighting for his life after he was hit by a truck on Thursday at a Glendale intersection.
The incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on April 11 while the boy was riding a bicycle with a group of other juveniles near 47th Avenue and Northern, police said.
"The group of juveniles began crossing this intersection northbound," Glendale Police Officer Moroni Mendez explained. "The teen victim was leading the group in the front when he was struck by a vehicle travelling [sic] westbound on W. Northern Ave."

After the collision, the driver fled the scene.
The boy was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
The road was blocked by police activity while they performed an investigation.
