A 49-year-old man accused of killing a man at an Ahwatukee apartment complex late last year has been extradited back to Arizona and booked into jail, say new court records.

What we know:

Keith Farrow was booked into Maricopa County jail early Friday morning on two counts of intentional second-degree murder following his transport from Massachusetts, according to court and jail records. He is currently being held on a $600,000 bond for the Dec. 12, 2025, fatal shooting of 37-year-old David Martin.

The backstory:

Phoenix police officers originally responded to a shooting call around 12:15 a.m. at the Allegro Luxury Apartments near 44th Street and Chandler Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found Martin lying in an apartment doorway suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators with the Phoenix Police Department learned that Farrow fled the state shortly after the homicide took place. What's next:

Farrow arrived at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Thursday before being formally processed into MCSO custody. He is scheduled to make his next court appearance in Maricopa County Superior Court on Aug. 27.

What we don't know:

Authorities have not yet released a motive for the shooting, and it remains unclear if Farrow and Martin knew each other before the deadly encounter.
