More than 500K Ford SUVs recalled over risk of engine fire

Ford Motor is recalling more than half a million SUVs over a potentially damaged engine part that could short circuit and increase the risk of a fire.
The recall was reported July 20 by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.
Ford Bronco and Bronco Raptor recall

According to the NHTSA, the wiring harness in the recalled vehicles can become damaged, potentially creating heat or sparks that could ignite a fire in the engine compartment.

The recall covers 565,691 Bronco and Bronco Raptor SUVs vehicles between the model years 2021 and 2026.

Customers can contact their local Ford dealers to install sheathing over the wiring at no cost to the owners.
