Phoenix police: 2 injured in hit-and-run
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say two people were injured when they were hit by a car while crossing the street in Phoenix.
According to Sgt. Mercedes Fortune with Phoenix police, a man and woman were crossing the street near 35th Avenue and Indian School just after midnight when they were both hit by a car traveling northbound.
The impact from the collision sent the woman into the southbound lanes where she was hit by a second vehicle.
Police say the car sped away from the scene following the collision.
The man is in extremely critical condition and the woman is expected to survive, according to police.
