Phoenix police: Homicide suspect surrenders in Nogales

PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man sought in the shooting death of his 18-year-old nephew has surrendered at a U.S.-Mexico border crossing station in Nogales.

According to police, a warrant had been issued for 25-year-old Hector Garcia-Alcantar in the shooting death Saturday of Dallas Orr at a home after a family argument.

Sgt. Trent Crump said Garcia-Alcantar turned himself into the federal authorities early Wednesday morning and that he'll be transported from Nogales to Phoenix as soon as possible.

Police had said drugs and guns were found in Garcia-Alcantar's room and that he had been previously deported.
