Police: 1 person shot at Phoenix apartments

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - One person is in critical condition following a shooting at a Phoenix apartment.

Phoenix police say the shooting happened at an apartment near 36th Street and Thomas when the suspect kicked open the door and started shooting.

Five people were inside the apartment when the shooting happened and one person was shot twice. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical, but stable condition.

The suspect left the area after the shooting and remains on the loose.
