The trooper was stopped with their emergency lights on next to a tow truck attempting to tow an abandoned vehicle near Dunlap Avenue. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the trooper was outside when his patrol vehicle was hit. The trooper was not hurt. The driver who crashed into the trooper's car was hospitalized. Impairment is being investigated as a cause of the crash.
