Gov. Hobbs visits southern Arizona border

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs met with members of the Arizona National Guard and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, discussing the progress of "Task Force Safe." Authorities are stationed at ports of entry in Nogales where the conduct secondary searches to help combat the state's fentanyl crisis, as well as border security.

Alleged Mexico gun smuggler arrested in Phoenix

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says agents in the Tucson Sector from Casa Grande worked with Homeland Security to capture a man wanted in Mexico for allegedly smuggling guns. Authorities say the man was living illegally in the Valley and has been removed from the United States. He is now in the custody of the Mexican government.

Border Patrol agent accused of child sex crimes

Jason Drown, 40, was arrested by Gilbert Police for alleged sex crimes against children. According to court documents, Homeland Security agents uncovered pornographic images of a young child that were accessed from Drown's IP address. Drown is accused of 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
