If you're driving to your destination on Labor Day, gas prices are 90 cents cheaper than this time last year. The price of a gallon of gas in Arizona is $3.45 a gallon. It's a penny more in Maricopa County. GasBuddy on Thursday morning revealed at least one station, an ARCO in west Phoenix, where gas was below $3. If you're heading north to escape the heat, gas prices in Flagstaff are $3.57 a gallon. Experts say lower demand and a quiet hurricane season are keeping oil prices down.
