Westbound Interstate 10 will be closed between the Loop 202 Santan Freeway and the U.S. 60 from 10 p.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Monday for the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project; the U.S. 60 will be narrowed to two lanes near Priest Drive from 10 p.m. Friday through 10 p.m. Saturday; the southbound Loop 101 Price Freeway will be closed between Guadalupe and Ray Roads from 9 p.m Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for pavement work; the U.S. 60 (Grand Avenue) will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between 163rd Avenue and Center Street from 11 p.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 11 p.m. Saturday through 3 p.m. Sunday for pavement sealing work; and State Route 87 will be closed briefly at times between Lindsay and Stapley Drivers from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Saturday, from Noon Saturday through Noon Sunday, and from 8 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday for a Western Power Administration project.

Lone dog rescued from Arizona's Lookout Mountain

New video released on Thursday shows a dog rescued from the side of Lookout Mountain. A good Samaritan found the dog, a two-year-old Shar Pei mix, in a small cutout about a half-mile up the trail. The dog was dangerously dehydrated with wounds on her paws. Arizona Humane Society dispatchers took turns carrying her down the mountain. The hiker said he only saw her because of her eyes, and as such, she's been named "Bright Eyes." She's now receiving the care she needs.

Landscaping truck, motorcycle involved in deadly I-10 crash

A deadly crash along I-10 near 75th Avenue is under investigation. DPS says a landscaping truck collided with a motorcycle in the eastbound lanes. The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries. No word yet on what led up to the collision, but Arizona DPS says impairment doesn't appear to be a factor.
