GILBERT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A string of monsoon thunderstorms have brought wet weather to the east valley.
In Gilbert and Mesa a strong thunderstorm brought lightning and rain to the area.
Strong winds toppled some tree branches and knocked out power for residents in San Tan Valley, Apache Junction and near Fountain Hills.
According to SRP, most of the power to customers in San Tan Valley was restored by Thursday morning.
