A public health alert has been issued for ravioli pasta products for misbranding and undeclared allergens.
The Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued the alert because the ravioli labeled as beef and burrata might contain shrimp filling in lobster sauce.
Agency officials noted that the shrimp and lobster, known allergens (shellfish), are not declared on the product label. A recall was not requested because the product is no longer available for consumers to buy.
