Jaguar Land Rover issued a voluntary recall of 93,997 Range Rovers linked to a water management system issue with the vehicles that may prevent water from adequately draining from the rearview camera.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration officials explained in a recall letter that when "water pools around the rearview camera" installation, over time, this may cause damage to the camera and result in a distorted image, or no image at all, to be displayed on the vehicle’s touchscreen.

The federal safety agency added that a blurred image or lack of display of the rearview camera image could lead to a driver being unaware of objects or pedestrians, raising the risk of an injury or a crash.
To date, there have been no reported accidents, injuries or fires related to the recalled Range Rovers.
