Printing begins for the PCH Holiday Card Program

If you're looking for some holiday card ideas, a popular program at Phoenix Children's Hospital is back. This morning the presses started printing PCH's annual Christmas cards.

It's a valley tradition, for nearly 30 years young cancer patients have designed holiday cards.

The cards cost $5 for a pack of five cards. The money raised benefits the center for cancer and blood disorders. The young artists are excited to see their designs take shape as the cards were printed. Alexis Lavario says it was an honor for her artwork to be chosen.

"They've helped me in a big way since I was 2-years-old, I was a preemie to have something like this, I'm very thankful for what they do," said Alexis Levario.

Willow is an artist who used pastels; she loves doing art. "I love art, what inspired me was Christmas morning, kids are waking up and jumping on the bed, it's time to open presents," said Willow.

Other artists featured Santa. "I think it's crazy I even made a card that's going to be sold, Santa in the fire, you see his feet coming down," said Camlin.

There are many cards to choose from; it's a holiday tradition that many hope continues for years to come.

The cards will be on sale in local retail locations starting November 1st. For more information visit: http://phoenixchildrensfoundation.org/artworks
