Metrocenter to undergo demolition in November
As demolition work starts at the Metrocenter mall in Phoenix, the iconic landmark is being turned into a mixed-use space with apartments, a hotel, retail and restaurant space. Crews are going through the former mall and removing asbestos so it does not cause harm to the community. The official demolition will begin in mid-November.
