Park officials say the bison was defending its space when it came within a few feet of the woman and lifted her off the ground with its horns. The 83-year-old tourist from South Carolina was seriously hurt and had to be airlifted to a hospital. Park officials remind visitors to always stay more than 25 yards away from wildlife.
