Arizona man accused of assisting in New York suicide charged with manslaughter

An 85-year-old former doctor from Arizona was charged with manslaughter for his role in the suicide of a woman in an upstate New York motel room, authorities said.

Craig Bain, 66, says he was walking on the Cactus Forest Trail in Saguaro National Park when a bobcat jumped on him, biting and scratching him. Bain fought with the animal for minutes before he was able to walk back to his truck and drive to a hospital. "I reached up and grabbed it, and as soon as I threw him down, he spun around and came back at me again," Bain said. The Arizona Game and Fish Department believes the bobcat has rabies. Bain received multiple vaccines at the hospital.
