The FDA has approved a new tool for women to screen for cervical cancer at home. The product, known as "Teal Health Wand' can be ordered online, and women will be able to swab and collect a sample themselves, and then mail it out for HPV testing.

Suspected impaired wrong-way driver arrested in Peoria
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a driver was going northbound in the southbound lanes of the Loop 101 off-ramp to Thunderbird Road. The driver crashed into two other cars. Minor injuries were reported and the alleged wrong-way driver was arrested. Impairment is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Police say 38-year-old Richard Lopez threw hot coffee at a QuikTrip worker and stole merchandise in Tucson. When an officer tried to arrest Lopez, police say he attacked the officer, hitting him with a can of food. The officer suffered a broken cheekbone and vision trouble. Lopez is accused of several charges, including aggravated assault on a peace officer.

'Emily's Law' alert system passes in AZ Legislature
House Bill 2281, known as "Emily's Law," has been sent to Governor Katie Hobbs' desk. The bill is named in honor of 14-year-old Emily Pike, who was reported missing from her Mesa group home before being found dead near Globe. The new turquoise alert system would operate the same as Amber Alerts and Silver Alerts, through emergency alerts authorized by federal officials.
