Parts of the East Valley are seeing heavy rain, and a Flood Advisory was issued for the Apache Junction area but has expired.

Crews rescued three people from a vehicle in a runoff-swollen wash on the outskirts of metro Tucson on Aug. 10 as monsoon thunderstorms caused scattered flash flooding in southeastern Arizona.

It was a wet start to the day with heavier rain falling in the East Valley, where part of Maricopa County was under a flood warning.
