Record breaking weekend for APS energy use
Arizona Public Service set two records over the weekend. Customers used 7,798 megawatts of energy on Friday, beating the previous record set in 2020. That record was broken the following day when customers used 8,191 megawatts of energy on Saturday. FOX 10's Danielle Miller reports.

Robles Fire burns in southern Arizona
The Robles Fire broke out on July 19 just south of I-10, east of Benson. People in the area between I-10, Dragoon Road and Touchstone Road are in "SET" status, so they need to be prepared to evacuate.

Hiker rescued from North Mountain during extreme heat
A 69-year-old man was rescued while hiking on North Mountain on July 15, the hottest day of the year in Phoenix. The man was treated by paramedics at the scene and taken to a hospital where he is in serious, but stable condition.

Death Valley National Park could set a world record this week for the hottest temperature ever recorded. The aptly-named Furnace Creek could hit 131?F. Signs are posted throughout the park warning visitors not to go hiking after 10 a.m.
