Air purifiers sold on Amazon, Temu, TikTok, recalled over fire, burn risks

A brand of air purifiers has been recalled due to products being linked to possible fire and burn hazards.

In a Feb. 9 recall notice, the Consumer Product Safety Commission says the devices could "overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers."

Approximately 191,390 purifiers were recalled, and the CPSC said the items were sold on Amazon, Shopify.com, Temu.com, and TikTok.com between September 2024 through June 2025 in the price range of $80 to $134.

Airova Inc., a California-based company, pulled its affected air purifiers and has received 37 reports of the products overheating including one report of a fire. But the CPSC added that there were no reports of injuries or property damage related to the purifiers.

The recall impacts Aroeve brand air purifiers that come in black or white with a model, date code, and serial number information printed on the product label located on the bottom of the air purifiers and they were manufactured before July 2025.

Owners of the air purifiers are urged to stop using them immediately and call Airova for a free replacement air purifier.
