During day two of Lori Daybell's trial in Phoenix, outside the presence of a jury, the so-called "Doomsday Mom" demanded a hearing regarding Rule 404B after Judge Justin Beresky warned her about opening the door to details of her previous murder convictions. Daybell accused him of yelling at her and things got intense in the courtroom.

During her second Arizona trial, Lori Daybell told the jury she was a loving person and had no malice towards anyone, also mentioning that Brandon Boudreaux hired a private investigator. Prosecutor Treena Kay said that going down that road would open the door to the state detailing her convictions for four murders.

Lori Vallow Daybell's lack of experience in legal matters came to the surface once again on June 5, as prosecutors raised multiple objections during her opening statement for her 3rd and final trial.

On June 5, prosecuting attorney Treena Kay gave her opening statement in a Phoenix courtroom, as the 2nd trial involving Lori Vallow Daybell kicked off. "The evidence in this case will prove to you beyond reasonable doubt that this defendant conspired with Alex Cox and others to kill Brandon [Boudreaux]," Kay said.
